Call for Tutorials
The organizing committee of the IEEE ICIP 2025 invites outstanding proposals for exceptional Tutorials on emerging topics in image and video processing. Only exceptional and high-quality tutorials will be accepted into the program. Tutorials at IEEE ICIP 2025 will be held on the 14th of September 2025 in both morning and afternoon sessions of 3 hours each. Please read carefully the information below before submitting your proposal.
Required Proposal Information
Each submission must include the following information:
- Title:
- Duration: Only Half day (3 hours) are accepted in IEEE ICIP 2025.
- Presenters: Names, affiliation, contact information (email and mailing address), and a short bio for each presenter.
- Description: A description of the tutorial topic, providing a sense of both the scope and depth of the tutorial, along with a tutorial outline.
- Goal of the tutorial. What will the audience walk away with? What makes the topic innovative. What core concepts, methods, and modeling frameworks will be conveyed? What scenarios will be used to illustrate?
- Expected audience: Include the background of the audience and expected number of attendees.
- Recent publications: List recent publications from the speakers in the past 3-5 years.
- Relevance: Address the importance and timeliness of the proposal, and its relevance to researchers and engineers.
- Previous editions: If the tutorial was given before, describe when and where it was given, and if and how it will be modified for IEEE ICIP 2025. If possible, provide a link to slides of the previous tutorial presentation.
- Prerequisite knowledge: What knowledge is assumed of the target audience.
- Presentation material: Please submit the draft of the tutorial content if available as it can aid in assessing the proposal and enables the committee to provide more constructive suggestions for the content.
- (Optional) Supplementary materials: Feel free to List all supplemental materials augmented with samples, such as past tutorial slides and survey articles, whenever possible.
Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be peer-reviewed using the following criteria:
- Timeliness of the proposal: Importance of the topic in 2025.
- Relevance: relevance of the proposal and the topic to IEEE ICIP
- Quality of the proposal: State-of-the art coverage of the topic, coherence, and experience of the speakers.
- Spectrum of the proposal: Topic is of broad interest to academia and/or industry, researchers and/or engineers/students.
NEW: Professional Development Hours (PDHs) by Attending Tutorials
IEEE ICIP 2025 organizing committee is pleased to announce that participants will receive, free of charge, a certificate of
participation earning three hours tutorials equivalent to three PDH, which are recognized by major organizations and societies for
Engineering Professional Development.
