MERL Seminar (organized by MERL, US)
Seminar Title: Computational Imaging & Learning for Industrial Systems
Seminar Abstract: Computation and learning have become a key component in all stages of the imaging pipeline, from new sensor architectures to inference and control based on the sensor output. MERL has a very broad research program in computational sensing, imaging, and vision, exploring all aspects of the pipeline. Our research advances computation and learning, including optimization, physics-informed machine learning and generative models, to fundamentally change how machines interface with the world around them. In this seminar we will present various components of this work, including single-photon devices, physics-based modeling and data assimilation, multimodal acquisition and processing, and higher-level learning inference tasks. Join us to learn about the fundamental technologies that underpin the next-generation of industrial imaging systems.
NEC Seminar (organized by NEC Corporation, Japan)
